CONSUMER SUPPORT – TRAINING OFFICER

Searles is a family owned business operating for over 40 years which specialises in the manufacturing and distributing high-quality garden, gift, homeware and fashion products. With a focus on innovation, they continue to build a strong presence in the Australian market and keep a strong focus on customer service.  Due to continued growth in the Gardening sector we are now taking applications for this new position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Consumer point of contact for product related questions and general gardening advice. This would include providing suitable retailer locations to source Searles products.

Provide professional responses to questions and queries via digital channels including social media.

Develop, coordinate and deliver product training at Searles retail customers including Bunnings, ATG members.

Coordinate and operate general garden talks for garden clubs, societies, garden expos etc.

Contribute to developing gardening content for magazine, digital platforms and ATG members.

Initial point of contact for consumer and customer garden product complaints – provide suitable outcomes and/or action responses or elevate responses to managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Horticultural degree is preferred or at least a demonstrated extensive knowledge of ornamental horticulture.

Ideally should be converse with a variety of gardening climatic zones and knowledge to provide solutions.

Experience in the horticulture industry, either at a wholesale or retail level.

Demonstrated ability of digital media i.e. social media.

Experience in developing and delivering training.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This is a full-time position based at Eagle Farm with a proposed start in December 2018. 

Suggested work days are Tuesday to Saturday to include a schedule of attend workshops and training.  Occasional over weekend work required to attend trade shows.

Some travel required to attend & deliver training.

We estimate that the role would be 50% in office and 50% visitations.

Company car, mobile, iPad and computer provided.
