Telstra recently announced plans that could see up to $1 billion of investment and co-investment to grow and enhance its regional mobile network over the next five years.

The Federal Government also announced Round 2 of the Mobile Black Spot Program late in 2016, with a further 49 Telstra sites to be built in Queensland. This will deliver state of the art mobile services to a total of 110 locations in rural and regional Queensland. Locations can be accessed through the following link:

New Home Wireless Broadband Plans
Telstra’s new Home Wireless Broadband plans include 40GB for $70 and 80GB for $150. These plans can also be activated with the new Netgear Nighthawk® M1 from Telstra, the fastest mobile hotspot in the world.

The Netgear Nighthawk® M1 is exclusive to Telstra and offers incredibly fast data transfer speeds and a long-lasting battery.

It provides the convenience of a mobile hotspot with the full functionality of a travel router, supporting up to 20 Wi-Fi devices on a single connection.

It also includes data free live streaming in Australia of every AFL, NRL and Netball game this season on compatible devices.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the first 4G Blue Tick devices in the bush
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the fastest phones available on Australia’s fastest mobile network, are the first devices to achieve Telstra’s Blue Tick on 3G and 4GX.

The Blue Tick signifies that a handset delivers superior voice coverage in rural and regional areas.

The devices have been built with Australia’s unique conditions in mind, so deliver superior call quality on Telstra’s 4GX service.

Voice Over Wi Fi
Both new Samsung Galaxy 8 smartphones are also compatible with Telstra voice over Wi Fi.

With voice over Wi Fi you’ll be able to make and receive voice calls even if you have no mobile coverage as voice over Wi Fi uses your fixed broadband Wi-Fi connection.
